Summary:

This application will periodically track your location and send your position details to www.tracesaver.com. If you register at tracesaver.com, you will be able to see your position and phone use across any day. There are two different collection modes for you to use;

1) CONTINUOUS ROUTE TRACE. If you want to continuously trace your route, when travelling on a journey or running a marathon, for example, simply leave the map on the screen and let the blue dot mark your position. Your location facts will be continuously stored when in the map view – try it and see at www.tracesaver.com !!

2) MY LOCATION AT REGULAR INTERVALS. If you are not using the map to continuously track your location, your position will be automatically pinpointed at regular durations throughout the day. Your location will also be marked when you make or receive calls.

All of your position and phone usage data is secure and only you have access to review your whereabouts at www.tracesaver.com. This application will also collect information which shows your mobile network customer experience (e.g. where you have good or bad calls). Also, tracesaver will show where you receive NO coverage/service from your network provider. It is our mission to use this data to prompt mobile network operators to improve the coverage/service being provided to you.

You will need to enable location services in your phone’s settings. If this is not enabled, the application will not be able to find your location.

Registration:
Enter your email details and www.tracesaver.com will send you a link to login with a secure password to view your route details at any time.

You can view location facts for several phones simultaneously inside www.tracesaver.com, if you use the same registration email on each phone.

You can change your Registration email details at any time by selecting ‘Change Email’.

Details View:

This tab will show you all the available details about your location, including speed and altitude. "Locations waiting to be sent" shows the number of locations and events stored in your phone that have not been sent yet.

Map View:

The phone will continually track your location whilst in the Map view, so driving or walking will constantly show your current position on the map with a blue dot.

When displaying your position on the map, you will continually collect GPS position details which will be sent to www.tracesaver.com to accurately show your route with high precision.

If you are indoors, your phone GPS will typically be unable to obtain an accurate or any fix on your location. When indoors, wireless network locations can be used to show your approximate indoor position.

Map View - Zoom In/Out

Use the known gestures to zoom in or out the map.

Map View - Lock Map

Activate the lock map mode by touching the arrow button at the botton left corner of the screen. When the button is red, the map is locked to follow your location. To unlock the map simply pan it to another location.

About View:

This tab give you access to this help and summary text page. At the top of this page, you have the option to register and use www.tracesaver.com. This provides you with exclusive access to your tracesaver data.

This application periodically accesses the internet in order to upload measurements collected by your phone; you may be charged for this access by your mobile network provider. Metricell Limited is not responsible for any charges incurred whilst using this application.
